Oberlin Aikikai will host Chris Royal Sensei for the Oberlin May Fair Seminar October 9 – 11, 2020.
Chris Royal Sensei, 5th dan, began his training in 1990 under Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, who has awarded him the Ueshiba Juku – a designation that is awarded to his selected senior students and instructors in recognition of their loyalty and dedication to building ASU and promoting O Sensei’s vision.
Royal Sensei has visited many dojo in the US, Czech Republic, and Hombu dojo in Tokyo; and has taught classes in Berkeley, CA and Prague. A professional musician and music educator, Royal Sensei brings a sense of rhythm to his instruction with an emphasis on the application of Aikido principles and fundamentals. He is a senior instructor at the Aikido Shobukan Dojo in Washington, DC.
