Oberlin Aikikai welcomes Oberlin alumnus Chris Royal at the Aikido Seminar in Hales Gym, Oberlin College, 180 West Lorain Street, Oberlin, Ohio 44074-1016.
Chris Royal Sensei, 6th Dan, began his training in 1990 under Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, who has awarded him the Ueshiba Juku.
Royal Sensei has visited many dojo in the US, Czech Republic, as well as Hombu Dojo in Tokyo; and has taught classes in Berkeley, CA and Prague. An Oberlin alumnus and a professional musician and music educator, Royal Sensei brings a sense of rhythm to his instruction with an emphasis on the application of Aikido principles and fundamentals. He is a senior instructor at the Aikido Shobukan Dojo in Washington, DC.
Keiko schedule:
Friday, March 3rd, at 7 – 9 p.m.
Saturday, March 4th, at 10 – 12 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.
Sunday, March 5th, at 10 – 12 p.m.
The seminar cost $100, or $30 per class.
Vaccination and facial masking recommended.
